After filming an acoustic version of "Hopeless" for YouTube, Ali and I decided to experiment recording different versions of our own songs. We felt Hopeless always came across fairly melancholy so the transition to piano was seamless.
Ali arranged and composed all the piano to this song and it was recorded in a single take. Once we had the structure decided, I recorded vocals and we both sat down to arrange other instruments at home. It took some time to build the song how we wanted it but we're very proud of the results! Perhaps we'll do a full EP of tracks like this one day?
